Emerald Glen Park Recreation & Aquatic Complex – USA

The Emerald Glen Park Recreation & Aquatic Complex features a 31,000 sq ft boardwalk style aquatic facility situated on 40 acres of pristine community park land in Dublin, California. The site is anchored by a 48 ft water slide tower and indoor pool center known as ‘The Wave’. The distinctive building design utilizes a great deal of glass and as such a low maintenance finish was specified prior to construction.

North America’s largest glass fabricator installed pre-treated glass throughout the center with panels out of their Fremont location. The coating will assist in protecting the surface by sealing the glass and preventing permanent staining, specifically in the ‘splash zone’. By minimising the cleaning time for the glass panels, ongoing maintenance costs will be measurably reduced, and importantly, the panels will remain in premium condition despite constant exposure to chlorinated water.
