The Montreal Biodome in Canada is a unique indoor ecosystem housing thousands of plant and animal species within controlled environments. Maintaining clear, durable glass across high-traffic exhibit areas presents a significant challenge, particularly where environmental sensitivity is critical.
EnduroShield was selected as an eco-friendly glass protection solution to preserve the appearance of etched glass dividers while reducing maintenance requirements and ensuring no harmful impact on the surrounding ecosystems.

The etched glass dividers are exposed to continuous foot traffic, moisture from plant systems, and organic contaminants from surrounding environments.
These conditions can quickly lead to staining, reduced clarity, and increased cleaning requirements. In addition, any solution used within the Biodome had to meet strict environmental safety standards to ensure no harm to over 4,800 animals and 750 plant species.

The coating creates an invisible barrier that reduces the adhesion of dirt, moisture, and organic residues — making the glass significantly easier to clean while maintaining clarity over time.
